History Pub talk: “Bully! Teddy Roosevelt Rides Again!”

Joe Wiegand,
Wednesday, October 17.
Doors at 6:00 pm, talk at 7:00 pm.
Ninkasi Administration Building, 155 Blair Blvd., Eugene, OR 97402.

Mark Twain has actor Hal Holbrook to accurately impersonate him; President Theodore Roosevelt has Joe Wiegand! This performance will convincingly turn the clock back to TR’s presidency (1902-1909), the end of the Gilded Age and emergence of the Progressive Era, and America’s emergence on the world stage. This is no static lecture; Wiegand works the audience, asking and answering questions of national and international import, and finally, auctions off a namesake Teddy bear. Roosevelt was one of the most popular presidents in American history and this performance is assured to be a memorable audience experience. Come enjoy Ninkasi select beverages and food by Vinnie’s Smokin’ BBQ .
